Annual Grand Puja

Every year Sonam Rinpoche holds a two day Grand Puja event which consists of empowerments, teachings, Changchok puja (prayers for the deceased), smoke puja, and various other pujas.

Everyone is welcome to join in as many or few sessions as they wish.  The event is very well organized by a hard working team of amazing volunteers who create a beautiful and soothing environment in which the event is held. Families and people of all ages attend the event and are able to receive a lot of spiritual blessings and benefit.

Pujas are a powerful method for removing obstacles and creating the right conditions for fulfilling our worldly and spiritual goals.  In order to progress on the spiritual path and attain the goal of liberation from samsara and enlightenment, we need to accumulate both merit and wisdom.  Performing pujas which consists of making prayers, offerings, and so on will help us to accomplish this.

Ultimately, it will help us attain enlightenment.  On a mundane level, it can help us in many ways depending on the puja that is being done such as helping those who are sick, deceased, or experiencing other kinds of problems by purifying karma, increasing merit, receiving the blessings of enlightened beings, and so on.  This year Sonam Rinpoche will be holding The Amitabha Grand Puja 2012 at the KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall in Kuala Lumpur on the 25th & 26th of August.
