The Maha Project
The Maha Project is NSCF’s first major project in Tibet and its intention is to construct a building complex named Ngagyur Shedup Choe Ling. The pictures above are a rendition of the planned buildings.
About Ngagyur Shedup Choe Ling
Ngagyur Shedup Choe Ling was named by Sonam Rinpoche and in English it means “The Sanctuary for the Study and Practice of the Dharma of the Early Translation”. The term ‘Early Translation’ is synonymous with the ‘Nyingma’ tradition.
Sonam Rinpoche is leading the NSCF in the construction of this multi-purpose complex which comprise of three sections:
- A Buddhist Insitute with Main Temple
- An orphanage named Ngagyur Shedup Children’s Home (NSCH).
- An old folk’s home named Ngagyur Shedup Seniors’ Home.
Progress So Far
With the blessings of the Buddhas and the monetary support donated by the generous public, NSCF was able to complete the first phase of the Maha Project by building the orphanage named Ngagyur Shedup Children’s Home (NSCH) in 2008. The orphanage is located at Azi Dugshul Village in the Bai Yu County.
