Buddha-dharma is extremely vital particularly during this degenerated period of time a.k.a ‘dark age’. Only through the effort of preservation, support and propagation, the teachings of the Lord Buddha – compassion and wisdom, able to liberate the sufferings of the sentient beings and guide them to the shore of true happiness. With this ultimate aim of life, Sonam Rinpoche is working restlessly on to build the Nga Gyur Shed Dup Choe Ling.
Nga Gyur Shed Dup Choe Ling (NGSDCL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support, propagation and preservation of Buddhist studies and practices throughout world as well as the promotion of loving kindness among us all. Established by Sonam Rinpoche in 2006, it’s primary objective is to extend The Lord Buddha’s teachings of compassion and wisdom as vast as possible, to benefit all sentient beings by in 3 major ways:
- The NGSDCL has initiated and contributed to projects in inner Tibet and worldwide, directly influencing the lives of hundreds of people. These projects include the founding of the Nga Gyur Shed Dup Charity Foundation (Maha Projects), the Nga Gyur Shed Dup Dharma Centers in Asia, and the Education & Elevation in US.
- Training for the future Buddhist teachers, students and practitioners, by developing skills in youth development, teacher training, and other elementary, secondary and tertiary level Buddhist education programs.
- To build the platform as one of the skillful means to accumulate merits and smoothen the path of the practice by way of fostering and developing loving kindness and compassion.
NGSDCL is indeed an organization, operated by all-volunteer staff, inspired and supported by hundreds of donors, many of whom with few dollars donation each month. NDSDCL, under the guidance of Sonam Rinpoche, and its donors together to support practitioners, young children, elderly and monastics education, thereby to revitalize the essence of the Buddha-dharma for the present age.
